There are some love stories that feel like they come full circle—and Kara and Hunter’s is one of them.
Over a year ago, I had the honor of photographing Hunter’s proposal to Kara on a quiet, sunlit golf course. It was one of those moments you just know you’ll never forget—the kind filled with anticipation, happy tears, and the beginning of something truly special. Fast forward to this spring, and I found myself behind the camera again, this time capturing their wedding day at Vinewood Stables in Newnan, Georgia. Getting to witness and document both chapters of their story has been such a meaningful experience.
From the moment I arrived, the entire day felt effortless in the best way. Kara and Hunter are the kind of couple who make everyone around them feel comfortable—genuine, down-to-earth, and so clearly in love. Their energy set the tone for the whole celebration.
Vinewood Stables provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding. The venue’s blend of rustic charm and elegant details created a warm, inviting atmosphere that matched Kara and Hunter’s style beautifully. Soft natural light filtered through the space during getting ready, and the ceremony setup felt intimate yet timeless.
One of the most unforgettable parts of the day? The weather.
All week, the forecast hinted at rain, and like any wedding day, there was a bit of nervous anticipation. But somehow, everything aligned perfectly. The skies held off through the ceremony, portraits, and reception—giving us the most beautiful, soft light to work with. Then, almost like it was planned, a gentle rain began to fall during their final private dance of the night.
It was one of those cinematic moments you can’t script. Just Kara and Hunter, wrapped up in each other, with the soft sound of rain surrounding them. Quiet, romantic, and completely unforgettable.
And the magic didn’t stop there.
The rain passed just in time for their sparkler exit, and guests lined up to send them off in a glowing tunnel of light and celebration. It was the perfect ending to a day that already felt so full of joy.
Kara and Hunter’s wedding wasn’t about over-the-top details or elaborate moments—it was about connection. The way they looked at each other. The laughter they shared with friends and family. The calm, steady love that has been there since that very first “yes” on the golf course.
Being trusted to capture both their proposal and their wedding is something I don’t take lightly. These are the stories that remind me why I love what I do—documenting real moments for couples who value authenticity and each other above everything else.
Kara and Hunter, thank you for letting me be part of your journey. Your day was a dream from beginning to end, and I’m so excited for everything ahead for you both.
If you’re planning a wedding in Atlanta or the surrounding areas and looking for a photographer who will capture your story in a genuine, timeless way, I’d love to connect with you.
