There are some wedding days that just stick with you — the ones where every detail feels effortless, the light is perfect, and love seems to hang in the air. Olivia and Jacob’s fall wedding at Kaya Vineyard & Winery in Dahlonega, Georgia was exactly that kind of day.
The drive up through the North Georgia mountains set the tone — winding roads lined with golden leaves, the kind of scenery that makes you fall in love with this area all over again. When I arrived at Kaya Winery, the weather was absolutely perfect. It was one of those crisp fall afternoons where the air feels light, the sun is soft, and you just know it’s going to be a magical day.
Olivia was getting ready in the bridal suite with her girls, laughter spilling through the room as the last curls were pinned and champagne glasses clinked. Jacob was just down the hill, calm but beaming — you could tell he couldn’t wait to see her.
Their first look happened right by the vines, surrounded by warm hues of autumn. When Olivia tapped Jacob on the shoulder, he turned around and just melted. That moment — pure joy, a little disbelief, and so much love — was everything.
The ceremony overlooked the rolling vineyard hills, the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance that makes Kaya Winery weddings so special. The sun dipped low just as they exchanged vows, casting everything in golden light. And then came the sunset — one of those cotton candy skies that photographers dream about. Pinks, oranges, and blues swirled together over the mountains, creating the most breathtaking backdrop as we wrapped up portraits.
The reception that followed was full of laughter, good wine, and ambient lights under the stars. Every single moment — from their first dance to the last — was filled with that cozy fall warmth that makes North Georgia weddings so unforgettable.
